QR Code Scanner
Scan a QR code with your camera or an uploaded image. Decode happens in your browser. Free QR reader, no signup.
How to use this qr code scanner
Click Scan with camera and allow access, or upload a PNG/JPEG of a QR code. Decoding uses the browser Barcode Detector API when present, otherwise a local decoder.
Copy the decoded text. Nothing is uploaded to read the code. Use the QR Code Generator if you need to create one.
Example
A screenshot of a QR that encodes https://toolixo.net should return that URL as plain text.

Frequently asked questions
Is the image uploaded?
Processed locally in your browser. We do not upload the text to compute a result.
Why can’t I use the camera?
The browser must grant camera permission, and the page needs HTTPS. You can still upload a photo.
Does it scan barcodes?
This page is for QR codes. Other 1D barcodes are not the focus.
What if nothing is found?
Crop closer to the code, improve lighting, or try a still image. Blurry phone photos often fail.
